Phoebe Stone, has my utter sympathy on this one, both mature and matter-of-fact but still charmingly young for her age. There are also these I had a hard time putting this book down once I began reading it. Review originally posted here. Felicity is an unusual and beguiling heroine.

Who is the mysterious Captain Derek locked away in the upstairs bedroom. A noble idea that didn't quite pan out. There is indeed a portion of the book where the phrase dies out.
