Summer Camp – TheolivewritersOur Writer's Workshop continues to grow! Emphasizing creativity and skill building, students will work with accomplished writers to hone their craft. Beyond engaging in intensive creation alongside expert faculty, students will come away from Writer's Workshop replete with new ideas, a brimming portfolio, and, most importantly, a refined sense of their own voice. Students will learn about character building, dialogue, vivid descriptions, voice, time and more in poetry, prose and non-fiction writing. This energizing program features seminars, small group classes and supervised writing time aimed at awakening creative impulses as experienced faculty writers introduce craft techniques.

Registration for summer camps is now open! Some programs offer merit scholarships. Students will examine the potential of poetic language compared to more traditional prose forms. Dates: July August 2.
Participants will have the opportunity sjmmer explore various aspects of writing fiction with experienced writers and receive advice on the various aspects of writing a novel. Photography Participants will learn about taking photographs and then use the pictures to illustrate stories.

Totally Radical, Dude. Learn More. Working with experienced songwriters, participants will write their own songs. Of course, the Rochester area has a multitude of non-arts related summer camps available too.
As they hone their craft, students will gain the skills necessary to develop and wrigers their own fictional prose while workshopping and refining work with peers. Please call for more information.
